Seeing Through Eyes of Love

All this beauty will rise to bless your sight as you look upon the world with forgiving eyes. For forgiveness literally transforms vision and lets you see the real world reaching quietly and gently across chaos and removing all illusions which had twisted your perception and fixed it on the past. The smallest leaf becomes a thing of wonder and a blade of grass a sign of God's perfection. From the forgiven world, the Son of God is lifted easily into his home. And there he knows that he has always rested there in peace. Even salvation will become a dream and vanish from his mind. For salvation is the end of dreams and with the closing of the dream will have no meaning. Who awake in Heaven could dream that there could ever be need of salvation? ACIM OE Text 17.12

A profound and miraculous shift in perception is available to each of us. It provides a transformation so profound that it alters how we perceive the world and ourselves. In one sense, it reveals the world that has always been there; however, it is more accurate to recognize that this new world reflects what was hidden within the depths of our minds, under clouds of darkness.

When we consistently choose forgiveness over judgment, we may reach a tipping point, and the miraculous happens. The very fabric of our perception begins to change. That difficult colleague becomes a fellow traveler struggling with their own pain. Heavy traffic transforms from an irritation into a moment of unexpected peace. The most minor details, such as a leaf catching morning sun, provide a passing delight. The determined growth of grass through concrete becomes our daily inspiration.

We do not deny the challenges we face or escape the work that we must do. We recognize these challenges and work as vital parts of a meaningful life. Beneath the surface confusion of our daily activities, there's an underlying current of grace that connects all things with a common purpose.

When we stop fixating on past hurts and future anxieties, we create space for this deeper reality to emerge.

The beautiful truth is that this shift doesn't require years of preparation or perfect spiritual practice. It can happen in an instant—the moment we choose to see differently. Each time we extend understanding instead of blame, each time we look for the light in someone rather than their faults, we participate in healing not just our own vision, but also contribute to the healing of the world itself.

You have this power within you now. It's not something you need to earn or achieve. it's your natural inheritance. Trust that there's a wisdom operating in your life that's greater than your individual understanding, a love that's holding everything together even when circumstances seem chaotic.

Look upon the world with your forgiving eyes. Every person you encounter and every situation you face is an opportunity to practice this new way of seeing. As you do, you'll discover that what seemed broken was actually whole, what felt lost was never really gone, and what appeared ordinary was always sacred.

This isn't wishful thinking. This is a practical path that begins with a simple willingness to suspend judgment and choose love instead. Start small. Notice one thing today with fresh eyes. Offer one moment of understanding where you might normally react with frustration. Let yourself glimpse the forgiven world that's always been here, patiently waiting for your recognition.

The invitation is always present. The power is always available. The transformation is always possible, right here and now, in this very moment.
